A New Hope for Palestine

With the recent passing of Yasser Arafat, Palestine has a hope for a brighter future. Having been a constant obstacle to peace, Arafat's passing will bring the opportunity for the Palestinians to elect a new leader, hopefully a moderate one open to negotiating peace at last with the Israelis. This would be a momentous step in stabilizing the Middle East. Hopefully this will happen, but unfortunately nothing is for certain.
