French Hypocrisy

The French have shown how hypocritical they really are. They are so, due to the fact that they have gone into the African nation, Ivory Coast to aide the Muslim rebels against the Christian government of Laurent Gbagbo, without UN approval. They have not only been supporting the rebels, but also have grounded the air force of Ivory Coast.

Even though they did this without UN approval, they were not disparaged like the US when we went into Iraq. Make your own judgment, but the French have some answering to do.

I'd like to add another important thing. Even though the French are wrong in their premise here, that does not excuse the behavior of the pro-government forces whom have acted abhorently. This is by no means an easy situation, but the French in trying to exert control need to step back and stop trying to pander to their Muslim population.
